With everything prepared, Yun Ming slowly raised his hand, a wisp of pale golden Soul Power condensing in his palm before being injected into the magic array.
The patterns on the ground suddenly lit up, and Linchen felt a warm force envelop his entire body. He could clearly sense his Martial Soul within him gradually awakening along with this power.
"Focus your mind, and follow the guidance you feel," Yun Ming's voice carried a soothing power, "Try to release it."
Linchen slowly closed his eyes, and a pale cyan dragon-shaped mark gradually emerged on his forehead.
Suddenly! A resounding dragon roar exploded within the silent awakening room.
When he opened his eyes again, those cyan-glazed pupils were surging with cyan-gold lightning. Behind him, a dragon shadow condensed; its scales were as translucent as glaze, and every scale shimmered with vitality and auspicious golden light.
Linchen turned to look at the phantom behind him, his pupils constricting as he wore an expression of disbelief: "It actually awakened the Azure Dragon from the myths of my past life." What was puzzling, however, was that the Azure Dragon before him seemed somewhat different from his impression.
"This is..." Yun Ming's voice carried a trace of incredulous trembling, "This bloodline level is even higher than Sister Yue's Holy Light and Dark Dragon."
Ya Li stepped forward, sensing it carefully: "Such a rich aura of life." She spoke softly, her voice carrying a tremor that was difficult to detect.
Long Yeyue had left the awakening room at some point, leaving only Yun Ming, Ya Li, Zhuo Shi, and Feng Wuyu in the room.
Yun Ming took a deep breath, suppressing the surging waves in his heart, and looked at Linchen: "Linchen, tell me, what is the name of your Martial Soul?"
Linchen lowered his head in thought for a moment, then replied: "Father, my Martial Soul is called Azure Dragon." He paused, then added: "Its attributes include lightning, life, and a sense of... auspiciousness?"
Yun Ming did not respond to this, but instead took out a pale blue crystal ball and handed it to Linchen: "Test your Soul Power Level. Place your hand on it and release a wisp of your Soul Power."
Linchen gently pressed his palm against it and injected a wisp of Soul Power. The next second, the previously dim and transparent crystal ball suddenly erupted with blinding light.
As expected, it was Innate Full Soul Power. Yun Ming nodded, preparing to have Ya Li take him to the Spirit Pagoda tomorrow to obtain his first Soul Spirit.
Early the next morning, Ya Li and Linchen arrived at the Spirit Pagoda headquarters, the entire tower shrouded under a pale silver barrier of Soul Power.
The receptionist saw that it was the Holy Spirit Crown and immediately stepped forward to welcome them. Since Pagoda Master Qiangu was away on business, only Vice Pagoda Master Leng Yaozhu remained at headquarters.
"Ding." The elevator doors opened, and a beautiful, fiery red figure stepped out; Leng Yaozhu had sensed Ya Li's arrival early on.
When rivals meet, they are especially jealous, but she still asked politely: "Holy Spirit Crown, what wind blew you here?" Her gaze inadvertently swept over Linchen beside her.
"I'm bringing my son to purchase his first Soul Spirit." Ya Li turned slightly, pushing Linchen in front of her, "His name is Yun Linchen. He just awakened his Martial Soul not long ago, and he has Innate Full Soul Power."
After hearing Ya Li's words, Leng Yaozhu's breathing froze for a moment before returning to normal. Her gaze fell back on Linchen as she asked: "What kind of Soul Spirit do you want?"
Linchen had already decided on his first Soul Spirit the night before. He looked up, met her gaze, and said in a calm tone: "Thunder Hell Vine."
"Thunder Hell Vine?" Leng Yaozhu raised an eyebrow, a hint of suppression flashing in her eyes, "We do have that Soul Spirit, but it belongs to the Indomitable Soul Spirit category. Ordinary Spirit Masters find it difficult to absorb. Are you sure?"
As Leng Yaozhu's words fell, Ya Li frowned, her tone carrying a hint of worry: "Linchen, are you sure? Most Indomitable Soul Spirits have fierce temperaments, especially one with a lightning attribute like the Thunder Hell Vine. If something goes wrong..."
She did not continue, but the risks were self-evident.
Linchen nodded, his tone exceptionally firm: "Don't worry, Mother. I have a solution. If I can't absorb it, we will simply choose another Soul Spirit."
Seeing the determination in the young boy's eyes, Ya Li knew he wasn't acting on impulse. She could only sigh softly, reaching out to ruffle Linchen's hair: "Alright, Mother trusts you. But promise me, if you feel anything is wrong, withdraw immediately. Don't force it."
Leng Yaozhu watched this scene, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, before she turned around: "Follow me."
She took the two of them up in the elevator to the area where the Indomitable Soul Spirits were kept.
"Most Indomitable Soul Spirits have manic and unruly personalities. To prevent them from harming each other, they are kept in separate rooms." Leng Yaozhu stopped in front of a door and said: "Ya Li and I will wait here for you. The rest is up to you."
The door slowly opened, and a violent aura of lightning attributes rushed toward them.
Linchen took a deep breath, turned to look at Ya Li, and gave her a reassuring smile: "I'm going in."
With that, he didn't hesitate and stepped inside. The door slowly closed behind him, cutting off all sight from the outside.
Ya Li watched the tightly shut door, her fingers clenching involuntarily.
Leng Yaozhu stood beside her, watching her tense profile, and for once offered a word of comfort: "Since he is so confident, perhaps he really can succeed."
Ya Li didn't speak, her gaze fixed intently on the door.
"A lightning-attribute Martial Soul?" The source of the voice was the Thunder Hell Vine before him.
Linchen's gaze was calm as he got straight to the point: "I know you can absorb lightning to increase your cultivation. I happen to have a lightning attribute, and it is not a simple lightning attribute, but the Ultimate Lightning."
He paused, then added: "You don't want to be limited to century-level cultivation, right? I, Linchen, can swear by my Martial Soul that I will eventually raise you to the hundred-thousand-year level."
The Thunder Hell Vine fell silent. After a long while, it asked with a hint of curiosity: "Why should I believe you?"
"Because I can let you see the future." Linchen raised his hand, his Martial Soul phantom appearing behind him. The cyan-gold lightning in his hand intertwined with the dark purple lightning of the Soul Spirit. "We are partners, not master and servant. I can guarantee you that."
"You can keep your pride, and I will not force you to do anything. You only need to watch and see what I can bring you."
The Thunder Hell Vine looked at the six-year-old child before it and fell silent again, as if struggling.
Finally, dark purple lightning enveloped Linchen in a silent response. Linchen naturally understood what the Thunder Hell Vine meant and sat down on the spot to meditate.
The absorption of the Soul Spirit proceeded very smoothly. About two and a half hours later, he succeeded, and a miniature version of the Hell Vine slowly appeared around his body.
He stood up, straightened his clothes, and walked slowly to the door, pushing it open.
Ya Li rushed over almost immediately. The tension and unease on her face faded the moment she saw Linchen, leaving only unconcealable concern: "Linchen! How is it? Did you succeed? Is anything uncomfortable?"
Her voice carried a trace of imperceptible trembling, and her gaze swept anxiously over the boy's entire body, fearing he had been hurt inside.
Linchen looked at Ya Li's worried expression, gave a reassuring smile, and nodded gently: "Mother, I succeeded."
Leng Yaozhu raised an eyebrow and said in a flat tone: "Success is good. I will take you to handle the payment procedures. I will make an exception and give you a discount based on the internal price."
After Ya Li swiped her card to pay, she left the Spirit Pagoda with Linchen.
On the way, Ya Li asked curiously: "Linchen, how did you manage to absorb an Indomitable Soul Spirit?" Her tone was full of concern.
Linchen replied: "Well, that's a long story. I'll show you my first Soul Skill when we get home."
