Kohei understood. The Hokage before him was not joking.
"Can't do it."
He immediately turned and headed deeper into the workshop, avoiding this headache of a project.
They were a clan that forged ninja tools, not ordinary blacksmiths who made farm implements.
"You can take and use as much of the refined iron left over from forging as you like."
The bargaining chip offered by the Hokage stopped him in his tracks.
Kohei took a deep pull from his pipe and shouted inwardly, What I want is money! Not these cold, hard rocks.
The wealthy Hashirama continued his monetary offensive. "You won't be shorted on payment."
Only then did Kohei turn around, smiling as he exhaled a cloud of smoke. "The Artisan Ninja have already joined Konoha. We're family now, so there's no need for formalities. We just need a few extra hands."
"What chakra natures do you need?"
"All five." Kohei's gaze swept across the faces of the three men. "Since it's for a Tailed Beast, it needs to be perfected in every respect."
"You'll have them."
Hashirama gave his word.
"When will the ore be delivered?"
"I think we should measure the Tailed Beast's height first."
As if performing a magic trick, Hashirama pulled two tea kettles out from behind his back.
Bang!
The seal was released, and the majestic figure of the Five-Tails appeared in the dense forest before the workshop.
"Where is this?"
The imposing Five-Tails shook her head and looked around. Sensing her surroundings through chakra, she knew that the man comparable to a god was directly below her.
"Kokuō, don't move."
Vines curled across the ground as Hashirama stood atop a wooden pillar and spoke to her sky-blue eyes.
"How do you know my name?!"
Kokuō's demanding voice crashed down like rolling thunder.
