Background / History

Tang Hao is a former Clear Sky Sect powerhouse who lived in concealment as a drunken blacksmith while raising his son, Tang San. His wife, Ah Yin, was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor soul beast in human form; her sacrifice left behind both the Blue Silver Emperor's main body and a Hundred-Thousand-Year Right Leg Bone. 65

He kept Ah Yin's remains hidden in a cave near Holy Soul Village. When Qin Yao stole both the Blue Silver Emperor and its soul bone, Tang Hao returned to find only an empty pit, driving him into a rage and strengthening his desire for revenge. 27

Tang Hao had also recognized Xiao Wu as a Hundred-Thousand-Year soul beast in human form long before her capture. He withheld this knowledge from Tang San because Tang San lacked the strength to protect her. 63 65

Though physically diminished by old injuries, he remains proud and unyielding. He accepts that Xiao Wu cannot be recovered during the battle at Soul Falling Slope, then chooses to remain behind so Tang Xiao and Ning Fengzhi can escape. 79 80

Tang Hao reveals himself as the Clear Sky Douluo when Yue Guan and Gui Mei attempt to seize Xiao Wu. His old wounds weaken his battle against Yue Guan, and detonating three rings cannot prevent Gui Mei from escaping with Xiao Wu. 61 62

Afterward, he tells Tang San that he had known Xiao Wu's identity and reveals that Ah Yin was also a Hundred-Thousand-Year soul beast. 64 65

Seeking Allies

Following partial recovery, Tang Hao recognizes Qin Yao's public announcement of Xiao Wu's capture as an open trap. Unable to assault Martial Soul Hall alone, he seeks Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect's assistance. 73 76

Soul Falling Slope and Death

Tang Hao joins Tang Xiao, Chen Xin, Gu Rong, Yu Yuanzhen, and Ning Fengzhi in an ambush intended to kill Qin Yao and take Xiao Wu. He and Tang Xiao are suppressed by Qin Xiong, while the other battlefronts collapse after Martial Soul Hall reveals additional forces. 77 78 79

With the allied force defeated, Tang Hao detonates all nine soul rings and fights to create an escape route for Tang Xiao and Ning Fengzhi. He dies shortly afterward, asking Tang Xiao to watch over his family. 79 80
