Tang San completed Hell Road and emerged from Slaughter City, where Bo Saixi offered to cleanse the fallen aura from his martial soul and awaken his great-grandfather, Tang Chen. Tang San rejected the idea that his power was evil and defended his own righteousness.

• After earning a hundred victories, Tang San entered Hell Road and found the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, but Lin Nuo had already taken its Core Pearl.
• Tang San crossed the cleared Hell Road and considered returning to destroy Slaughter City, but left after deciding to find a suitable poisonous herb first.
• Bo Saixi greeted Tang San outside Slaughter City and revealed that she had come to cleanse his martial soul and awaken Tang Chen.

Though much of the impurity was stripped away, a hidden remnant of the Rakshasa God’s power remained dormant as Bo Saixi prepared to rescue Tang Chen and take Tang San to Sea God Island.

Bo Saixi drove the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King from Tang Chen’s body with the Sea God’s Light, restoring Tang Chen and reuniting him with Tang San. After Tang San blamed Spirit Hall and Lin Nuo for his family’s suffering, Tang Chen flew into a rage and vowed to seek justice.

In the Star Dou Forest, Hu Liena broke through to level seventy, and Lin Nuo considered how to prepare her for a future god trial.

• Tang Chen ordered Tang San to stand and, after hearing about the Clear Sky Sect's hardships, planned to take him home before confronting Qian Daoliu in Spirit City.
• Tang San asked about inheriting the Asura godhood, and Tang Chen promised to help him pursue it after he inherited the Sea God godhood.
