Background

Na'er arrived alone in Proud Arrival City, far from the Star Dou Forest. Lin Qingzhou found her huddled in a street corner near Tang Wulin's school; she reacted to his aura with instinctive fear, but eventually followed him home after he patiently gained her trust 4.

Lin initially took her in intending to persuade her into becoming the willing sacrifice required by the Heaven-Swallowing Demonic Art. Her hunger, vulnerability, and reliance on him gradually changed his intentions. He began caring for her daily, buying her preferred desserts and clothes, combing her hair, comforting her after nightmares, and promising that she would always have enough to eat. He ultimately abandoned and locked away the sacrificial manual 5.

Na'er is Gu Yue's other half and was meant to return for their fusion. When Gu Yue ordered Lin Qingzhou killed, Na'er confronted her mentally and chose to protect him. She identified herself as an independent existence rather than merely a “half,” accepting that she would eventually merge with Gu Yue only if Lin Qingzhou was spared. Di Tian granted her three months to remain with Lin, but warned that Lin would be killed if she did not return afterward 8.

During the Evil Soul Master assault on Proud Arrival City, Na'er remained hidden at home while Lin fought his way back to her. When he was fatally poisoned, she found the Heaven-Swallowing Demonic Art and chose to use it herself, despite knowing why Lin had originally taken her in 11 16.

Drawing upon the Dragon God's inherited knowledge, Na'er adapted the ritual for Lin Qingzhou and sacrificed her soul power, bloodline, Martial Soul, memories, emotions, consciousness, and soul. Her silver radiance purged the poison from Lin's body and awakened his Martial Soul, but her physical body dissolved into silver motes 16 17.

The sacrifice was interrupted before her soul could fully dissipate when the End-of-All Divine Realm's spatial-binding protocol activated. A fragment of her incomplete soul was intercepted and sealed in an ice coffin, where divine power prevents further dissipation. Restoring her requires Lin Qingzhou to inherit the God Throne of End and gain access to sufficient divine power 21.

Despite her timid demeanor, Na'er is resolute when Lin's life is threatened. She refuses Gu Yue's demand that she abandon him, insists on her own identity as “Na'er,” and willingly accepts the risk that Lin may someday reject her true nature.
