"What the hell?"
Li Ran was completely stunned. Was this really a prompt?
Was he killing someone?
But Li Ran didn't have time to worry about that. He charged forward with his knife and stabbed it into the man's thigh. Blood immediately poured from the wound.
The man screamed. Li Ran quickly clamped a hand over his mouth.
The man shouted and rammed Li Ran aside with his shoulder, then crawled away across the floor.
Li Ran immediately chased after him. He stabbed him once in the waist, then drove the other knife straight into the middle-aged man's back.
The man let out a pained scream but kept struggling to crawl toward the kitchen. His right hand trembled and spasmed in the air for a while. Then his head tilted to one side, and all life left his body.
"What the hell am I doing?" Li Ran was utterly shocked.
Though he hadn't felt any resistance when he'd just killed the middle-aged man, it was obvious that the man had been acting out his death with wildly exaggerated body language.
Still, being right there in the middle of a killing made Li Ran feel awful.
"Ah!!"
Just then, Mom heard the commotion in the kitchen and came running out. When she saw the horrific scene in the living room, she immediately screamed.
"Honey! Son!" Mom cried in terror.
