Spiderweb-like cracks spread across the massive black cocoon.

The crisp sounds echoed throughout the Darkness Domain.

Mara and Azure Heaven First Seat, who were locked in battle, were also drawn by the strange noise.

The two halted their fierce clash and looked toward the massive black cocoon in astonishment.

Strangely, the black cocoon appeared to be wrapped in countless black threads, yet its surface gave off sounds like an eggshell about to crack.

Then came an even stranger scene. Two handprints appeared on the cocoon's surface, slowly rising beneath its outer layer as though they were pressing against a membrane.

It was impossible to tell what material the enormous black cocoon was made of.

As the life within the black cocoon prepared to break free, everyone in the domain fixed their eyes upon it.

The cracking grew increasingly rapid.

The handprints pushed apart the black membrane, and the layer covering the cocoon split open as well.

Immediately afterward, a fair arm, white as jade, stretched out from the black membrane, like a chick breaking out of its shell.

Just as everyone expected a second arm to emerge—

A jet-black beam suddenly shot into the sky, and the enormous black cocoon rapidly shriveled like a deflated ball.

Within the soaring black light, a hazy, fair body flickered in and out of view.

Before they could see clearly, the shriveled black cocoon rose into the air and transformed into strands of silk, swiftly wrapping around the figure within the black light as though dressing her in a magnificent black gown.

As the black light faded, the first thing that came into view was a pair of crystal-like jade feet. A long dress like that of a black swan outlined her hazy figure's exquisite, delicate curves.
