Elan looked at the person before him, hooded and draped head to toe in black robes, with almost no skin exposed save for their eyes. He scratched his head.
"Um, who are you?"
"It's me."
Fran's voice came from beneath the hood, startling Elan. He turned his cup before finally asking:
"Why are you dressed like this?"
Fran offered no further explanation and simply said:
"I'm afraid of being attacked. Even dressed like this, I've been attacked twice coming here to see you..."
"Enough of that. I want to buy two spells. The goods are here."
Fran pointed at the box by her feet and kicked it over.
Elan handed over the papers recording the spells, lifted the box at his feet, and complained:
"Aren't you just especially good at making enemies? Weren't both attacks because you had conflicts with someone? The safety of my bar is recognized by plenty of apprentices."
"And could you put the box on the table when you hand it to me? That's really rude."
Fran ignored him and directly selected the spells she had already decided on.
"These two—Telekinetic Hand and Shadow Concealment."
Elan raised a brow and teased:
"What, are you planning to steal something? Why else would you want those two spells?"
