Sudden Situation

"What? The former lord of White Dragon Port fled here to the Wall District?"

Eleanor's face was full of disbelief. She wondered whether this was some conspiracy by the Command Council against the Wall District.

"That former lord has been hiding in the city for nearly two months? My god?!"

"Is this still territory occupied by The Alliance? I don't remember any Alliance-held territory allowing an Alliance fugitive to stay for so long without being dealt with."

"Mage Eleanor, it isn't as you think. Crescent Bay is currently preparing for its next operation, so White Dragon Port's affairs have been somewhat neglected."

David explained to Eleanor with a smile.

"So now I'm the only one in White Dragon Port pursuing that former lord. If you ask around the mage circles in White Dragon Port, you'll learn what I've been doing lately..."

"If you didn't have identification, I'd think you were just a fucking Spirit Realm Mage."

David's mouth twitched. Eleanor was not, of course, doubting that he was a Spirit Realm Mage. Rather, when used to describe another mage, the term Spirit Realm Mage was an insult.

Since Spirit Realm Mages could not learn spells through study, many Alliance mages believed they were brainless people who could only rely on spells obtained from the Spirit Realm.

Although the Command Council had informed Eleanor in advance that she needed to cooperate with an operation, it had not told her that it involved a Spirit Realm Mage.

Moreover, David's arrival at the Wall District had been extremely sudden. He had practically made a scene, collapsing a small stretch of wall so that he could observe the situation inside after the "attack," before coming to find Eleanor shortly afterward.
