The abyss consciousness's true body.
Or rather, at least one of its projection nodes within the Xuanxiao Great Domain.
"Found it..." A cold gleam flashed through Chu Ming's eyes.
He did not sever the connection at once. Instead... he sent the power of order back along it.
Not as an attack, but as a disguise.
He disguised this thread of order power as a state after being assimilated by corrupted energy, mixing it into the information feedback of the dark-red torrent. Soundlessly, it flowed back along the connection toward the abyssal node.
This was an extremely risky move.
Once discovered, the abyss consciousness might use this connection to launch an even fiercer erosion against Chu Ming's Dao foundation, perhaps even directly descend a portion of its will. But Chu Ming had no other choice.
Passive defense led only to death. Only by understanding his opponent could he possibly find a way to break the deadlock.
The power of order traveled along the connection, passing through layer upon layer of void barriers.
Fragments of bizarre, kaleidoscopic scenes began appearing in Chu Ming's vision.
It was a space that could not accurately be described in words.
There was no up or down, no left or right, no passage of time—only endlessly circulating chaotic laws that conflicted with and devoured one another.
Blazing flames intertwined with bone-piercing ice; razor-sharp golden light collided with heavy earth and stone. Life and death, light and darkness, creation and destruction—all opposing concepts existed here at once, only to annihilate one another.
And in the deepest reaches of that chaos, he could vaguely see even more terrifying existences.
Some were colossal beasts stitched together from countless twisted limbs, rolling and roaring amid storms of laws;
Some were aggregates of pure energy, their surfaces covered in hundreds of millions
