Chu Ming nodded. "There's a trap, but I'm not sure what kind. Chen Yan's reaction showed that he knows about the Dark Division. But he doesn't dare say it—or rather, he can't."
Venerable Lingfeng suddenly spoke. "Then that movement he made afterward—was it a message transmission?"
Chu Ming gave a soft grunt. "He was reporting to the people above him. Telling them that I refused."
Thunder Splendor scratched his head in confusion. "So where are we going now? Are we still heading to the Fallen Dao Abyss?"
After thinking for a moment, Chu Ming said, "Let's go to a Void Station first. We can rest up and see if anyone followed us."
The four sped up and headed for the nearest Void Station.
Half an hour later, a massive structure floating in the void appeared in their sight.
It was a platform pieced together from seven enormous meteorites. Each one spanned a hundred zhang, forcibly fused by some kind of power into an irregular structure.
Simple houses and pavilions had been built atop the platform. Most of the houses used the meteorites' own material; some still retained the rough texture of raw stone, while others had been polished smooth as mirrors.
Several thick stone pillars stood along the platform's edge, carved with formation patterns. The patterns glimmered faintly, forming a pale cyan barrier of restriction light that enveloped the entire platform.
The station bustled with people coming and going.
Most were Rogue Cultivators traveling through, gathered in groups of three or five. Some exchanged supplies, some spoke in low voices, while others leaned against the walls with their eyes closed, resting their spirits.
There were also disciples from smaller sects, dressed in uniform attire as they moved through the station.
