As his fingers brushed over the words on the page, exhaustion swept over him like a tide. Cradling the book, Chen Ge closed his bloodshot eyes and collapsed onto the floor.

For ten days and nights behind the door, he had endured tremendous psychological pressure and had nearly reached the breaking point.

After leaving Yu Jian's world, he could no longer hold on.

His Backpack fell beside him, and Chen Ge fell asleep just like that. On the single bed beside him, Yu Jian woke with a start.

Wrapped in a thin blanket, Yu Jian glanced at Chen Ge, then slowly lowered his head to his chest.

Yu Jian's mother, standing in the doorway, saw this. She had no idea what had happened inside the room.

She only knew that before Chen Ge arrived, Yu Jian had been the only one acting strangely. After Chen Ge's treatment, it seemed like they were both crazy.

At eight in the morning, Chen Ge woke to the alarm on his phone. His eyes were still bloodshot.

Holding his aching head, Chen Ge glanced out the window. Sunlight seeped through a gap in the curtains, and Yu Jian, dressed and ready to go, sat at the desk.

"You're awake?"
