Sitting on the edge of the bed, Chen Ge leaned against the wall. He slipped one hand into his backpack and looked up at the monster on the ceiling.

A constant rustling came from above. The monster, made up of human heads, crawled across the ceiling, foul-smelling black threads extending from the seven orifices of each head.
The monster was much more cautious than Chen Ge had expected. A multitude of malicious eyes stared at him. It hesitated for a long time before approaching the seemingly abnormal prey in front of it.
The stench was overpowering, and the heads were inches away. The sight would have driven an adult mad, but all it earned from Chen Ge was a frown.
