Zhang Jingjiu was a good person. He was probably the most innocent actor in the entire Haunted House.
Actually, he wanted to scare visitors like his coworkers did. He recalled what the owner of The Restaurant looked like and thought about those twisted little games.
But it was his first day on the job, and he still wasn't mentally prepared. When he saw how miserable the visitors looked, he couldn't help feeling sorry for them.
"Come on in. This is your safe haven." Zhang Jingjiu thought that even if he couldn't scare the visitors, he should at least let them feel his sincerity. That was a basic quality anyone working in the service industry ought to have.
The woman hesitated, but the man was already as skittish as a frightened bird.
"Don't go near him!" Each time Zhang Jingjiu spoke, the Male Student took another step back.
"I really don't mean anything by it. I just feel sorry for you." Zhang Jingjiu wondered why it was so difficult to do a good deed.
"Wang Yan, maybe we should give him a chance?" The woman got up from the floor and spoke softly.
"Haven't you learned your lesson yet?! The employees in this Haunted House are either wolves in sheep's clothing or devils hiding inside living people! And you still naively believe you can trust them?" The Male Student dragged his exhausted body into the Dog Kennel opposite The Restaurant.
When the woman saw her companion leave, she hurried after him.
Watching the two visitors run into the Dog Kennel scene on their own, Zhang Jingjiu wore a bitter expression. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Wolves in sheep's clothing? Devils hiding in living people? Looks like I've seriously dragged down the Haunted House employees' average performance."
