The door to Spirit Channeling School finally appeared. It was the only real thing in Dream Paradise, and the true core of the Mirror World.
When the illusions shattered, the Painter's constructed paradise was destroyed, and the dream dispersed, all that remained of the vast East and West Campuses was this door.
It looked utterly ordinary, very different from the doors in the other scenes. There wasn't a trace of blood on it; it was just like any other door in the real world.
"Look! There's something behind the door!"
Someone in the crowd shouted, and everyone turned their eyes toward what lay behind it.
Reflected on the door, its surface covered in cracks, was a blood-red figure. A woman was hiding behind it.
She was short and dressed in ordinary clothes. The only striking thing about her was the bloodstain over her heart.
This woman had a bleeding heart.
"Chang Wenyu? Had she been hiding beside that door the whole time?"
The most dangerous place was the safest. No one had guessed that Chang Wenyu had hidden beside the door ahead of time—not even the Painter. Everyone was stunned.
But the man in the Blood Mist was the most shocked of all. He had gone to so much trouble to find the door, and just as he was about to touch it, he discovered someone else standing beside it.
A sense of foreboding crept over him. It seemed that everything he had done had merely paved the way for someone else.
Chang Wenyu seemed to have known all along that things would turn out this way. She wasn't the least bit flustered. Just as the man in the Blood Mist reached for the door, she stepped in front of it.
"Chang Wenyu!"
