Emperor Jianhong rules the Great Sage Dynasty from its capital. He is capable of acting incognito, as shown by his covert presence in Two Rivers Prefecture during the Dragon Survey Map case. When Zeng Anmin reveals both the map's location and the plot against his father, Jianhong receives him while playing chess with Princess Ning'an. 3

Following Prince Jiang's exposure, Jianhong privately questions whether the rebellion was genuine or whether Zeng Shilin sought to monopolize power. Although he rewards Zeng Anmin by promoting him to Censor-in-Chief of Jingzhao Prefecture, his written response deliberately omits any mention of “Prince Jiang's rebellion.” 70
