Yang Wudi is the patriarch of the Breaking Clan, one of the Four Single-Attribute Clans and a family known for alchemy. He is acquainted with Ning Fengzhi and has had prior dealings with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. 23 26

The Breaking Clan’s spear techniques are passed to only one person each generation. Following his father’s death, Yang Wudi inherited a clan beset by outside forces; after three days of deliberation, he killed five invading Spirit Saints and three Soul Douluos, ending attempts to prey on the clan. 30

He trained with the spear for fifty years, became clan head at thirty, broke through to Soul Douluo at forty, and reached Level 83 at fifty.
