Ever since the surgery several months ago, I had thought it was only a minor operation and that I would definitely recover quickly. I figured three months would be the absolute limit for recovery.
But unexpectedly, I had been tormented by aftereffects these past few months. First came nerve pain in the back of my eyes, making it impossible to sleep normally at night. Even today, I still needed sleeping pills to help me fall asleep.
Later, I developed dry eye syndrome, which left me in unbearable discomfort even during the day. In the mornings, I could not even open my eyes; blinking brought excruciating pain.
Recently, inflammation appeared as well, and I am currently undergoing treatment as instructed by my doctor.
But please rest assured, I will absolutely not abandon this novel. Once I am able to resume updates, I will do so as soon as possible.
