When Orochimaru heard Uchiha Genya admit without a shred of shame—almost proudly—that he had blackmailed Tsunade too, he felt that this was only natural.

This was the Uchiha Genya he knew: shameless and unscrupulous, ready to squeeze someone dry the moment he found something to hold over them.

Who knew how many people in Konoha had already fallen victim to him? However unwilling they were, they had obediently become his lackeys.

Take Kabuto, for instance. Orochimaru had looked down on him at first. After all, Kabuto had mastered Senjutsu and was now one of the Ninja World's foremost experts.

Yet he still acted like Uchiha Genya's loyal hound. It was downright disgraceful!

A large part of why he had become so obsessed with immortality, altering himself until he was neither human nor monster, was Nawaki's death.

Now that Uchiha Genya had given him a chance, how could he simply let it slip away?

Xuanye laughed without restraint.
