The technique proved effective against even legendary shinobi like Orochimaru, whom Xuanye tortured in Mirror Flower, Water Moon for an extended period, subjecting him to increasingly unbearable pain and eventually breaking his will to resist 61 62.

Xuanye also uses the technique to manipulate perceived time. Although Shisui is not a close blood relative, Saha World allows Xuanye to bypass the normal compatibility restriction. The process drains Shisui’s eyes until they become gray-white and restores Xuanye’s damaged vision 60.

The Eternal Mangekyō removes the risk of blindness from Mangekyō overuse and strengthens both Mirror Flower, Water Moon and Saha World 60. The enhancement is particularly significant for Mirror Flower, Water Moon due to the affinity between its illusionary nature and Kotoamatsukami’s ocular power 60.

By combining Susanoo with Saha World and Musō Isshin, Xuanye creates the Evil Radiance Shadow-Facing Heavenly Demon, a divine warrior that approaches the scale of a Perfect Susanoo 37.

Xuanye manifested this form to fight the Nine-Tails, wielding the divine blade Musō Isshin to execute the Thoughtless Blade—a strike so powerful it split a canyon through Konoha and the surrounding forest, destroying a significant portion of the village 38. He later develops a Complete Body Susanoo of the same form and uses Musō Isshin to cut through Uchiha Hikari’s Complete Body Susanoo 141.

Xuanye gains Ice Release by consuming the Demon’s Extract. In addition to granting control over ice, it adds Water nature to his chakra as an intrinsic enhancement rather than a nature transformation acquired through ordinary training 112. He demonstrates the power immediately by creating an ice flower and later freezes Fuguki’s Great Waterfall Technique along with numerous Kirigakure shinobi caught in it 112 192.
