Minato Meets Naruto

Kakashi glanced at Minato and said, "Lord Hokage said you were the first one to cause trouble in Konoha."

That made Minato even more embarrassed. The two stood there in silence, neither knowing what to say.

Kakashi led the way. "Come on, Minato-sensei. I'll take you to the Uchiha clan grounds."

Once they arrived, Kakashi took Minato to meet Fugaku first.

Fugaku and Minato had never been close. Their wives, however, had gotten along well.

Knowing Naruto was being raised in Fugaku's home put Minato at ease.

"You don't seem very surprised to see me." Minato released his Transformation Technique and sat across from Fugaku.

Expressionless, Fugaku poured Minato a cup of tea.

"The First Hokage came back for a while not long ago. Seeing someone who's already dead doesn't surprise me anymore."

Minato took a sip of tea. He hadn't expected the First Hokage to have been summoned back too.

The two had little to talk about. After Minato drank some tea to be polite, Fugaku took him to see Naruto.

In the backyard, Naruto and Sasuke were trying to refine Chakra under Itachi's guidance.

Ninja clans with traditions of their own generally taught children to refine Chakra and use a few basic jutsu from an early age.

The notion that mastering the Three Basic Techniques was enough to graduate as a Genin was hardly a challenge for such clans.

Naruto and Sasuke, however, looked miserable. Itachi had dragged them straight out of bed.
