Background / History

Oolong terrorized an isolated village by repeatedly demanding its food and money and taking beautiful girls as “brides.” When Zhou Zilong, Bulma, and Young Goku arrived, the villagers offered their Six-Star Dragon Ball as payment for driving him away 26.

Bulma and Zhou Zilong used Young Goku as bait by disguising him as a girl. Oolong approached the disguised Goku, transformed into a handsome man to charm him, then fled after discovering the deception and being challenged 27.

Zhou Zilong exposed Oolong’s real pig-headed form, captured him, and compelled him to apologize to the village. Oolong promised to return what he had taken, including the girls and money, ending his rule over the village 27.

Afterward, Oolong traveled with Zhou Zilong, Bulma, and Goku during their Dragon Ball search. His repeated lecherous conduct caused conflicts with the group, including an attempt to drug Zhou Zilong and Goku so he could target Bulma; Zhou Zilong punished him with prank Choco-Beans 28.

Appearance

Oolong’s normal form is a pig-headed humanoid dressed in green clothing. He relies on transformations to create a more intimidating or appealing image than his actual appearance 27.

He is also deceptive and self-serving. He attempted to evade responsibility by claiming to be a passerby named “Zhu Xiaojie,” tried to drug his companions, and abandoned the group’s escape effort to pursue his own wish 27 28 35.

Despite this, Oolong remains part of the traveling group and occasionally contributes practical information, such as identifying Yamcha’s intent to rob them and warning the others about the Ox-King 28 31.

Pilaf Castle

After Goku blasts a hole in Pilaf’s prison chamber, Oolong transforms and escapes separately, intending to make his own wish. He reaches Shenron but is stopped and blown away by Zhou Zilong before he can speak 35 36.

Following the Pilaf incident, Oolong expresses enthusiasm about going to West City because of its many beautiful women 39.
