The next day,
Gray slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a simple house. Through the window, she could see that the sun was already high in the sky.
"Mm..."
She slowly sat up, stretching her slightly stiff arms, then looked around and found Olga Marie sleeping soundly with her head on Gray's lap.
No wonder her legs felt a little numb.
Gray thought to herself, but as if sensing the movement, Olga Marie groggily opened her eyes, rubbed them, and let out a huge yawn.
"Morning, Gray."
"Good morning, Miss Olga Marie."
Suddenly, she noticed that Olga Marie was staring straight at her, her eyes filled with astonishment, as though she had seen something bizarre.
Gray was curious too. Then she noticed a white, fluffy thing beside her that looked like some kind of animal tail.
"What is this—?!"
Olga Marie reluctantly let go, then turned her gaze to the fluffy little tail behind Gray. That furry tail must have felt wonderful to stroke.
She instinctively reached out and gently touched it. A strange sensation rose in Gray's heart, and an adorable blush involuntarily appeared on her face.
Seeing Gale's utterly devastated expression, Olga Marie hurriedly pressed him for answers.
Olga Marie asked worriedly. After all, the King of Winter Wolves was hardly a righteous character. More importantly, rashly absorbing another being's soul could easily cause an impact on one's own soul.
After carefully sensing herself for a moment, Gray shook her head and continued,
"Mm... it seems we overlooked a problem."
"How could I not need it? As a book with ideals and aspirations, I have to keep enriching myself. Spiritual nourishment is still very necessary. o(^▽^)o"
Gale said with obvious heartache.
Olga Marie looked Gray up and down, calculating something in her heart.
"Is that true?"
