"Phew—"
Tatsumiaino gasped for breath, his heart pounding like an engine about to explode. His vision kept going dark, and his legs felt as heavy as if lead weights were strapped to them. Every step was a tremendous test of both stamina and willpower.
"Tatsumiaino, something isn't right."
Berserker called out to stop Tatsumiaino. His expression was solemn as he watched for any movement around them, tightly gripping the vial containing his liquid Noble Phantasm, ready to drink it at any moment.
"What is it, Berserker?"
Tatsumiaino struggled to steady his breathing. He had chased after those people who had fled the Linglongguan Family all the way here, only to fail to even catch sight of their taillights. It was truly frustrating.
"There's a smell of blood. A battle took place here not long ago."
Berserker's nose twitched. Wisps of blood scent filled the air, carried outward by the night wind.
"Let's go over there."
He scanned the surroundings before his gaze finally settled on a five-story building nearby. From its rooftop, they should be able to see the battlefield in the distance.
They climbed the ladder to the roof, and Tatsumiaino pulled a pair of binoculars from his coat. The distant alley came clearly into view. Vast swaths of glaring red filled his vision, and amid that crimson, a monstrous, savage humanoid was feasting with relish.

Once Tatsumiaino saw what the monster was having for a late-night meal, his stomach churned. He nearly vomited up both dinner and lunch, instinctively feeling a surge of revulsion.
