Frieza had come to Planet Metamor for the Fusion Dance, naturally.
Otherwise, why would he have gone through the trouble of having the Eternal Dragon manifest a clone for him that lacked its own consciousness?
He had even considered acquiring the earrings of the Supreme Kai; if he could obtain a divine status, it would be even better if there were no time limit after merging!
Frieza already looked far from aesthetically pleasing, so why should he care whether the poses of the Metamoran Fusion Dance looked ridiculous? As long as it made him stronger, that was all that mattered!
In the original story, Frieza achieved the Golden Frieza transformation after four months of training following his resurrection.
Only after truly becoming Frieza did he realize that such a feat was fundamentally impossible.
To reach the level depicted in the original work, the prerequisite was to perfectly master one's strongest form, followed by years of day-and-night mental torture!
Only after his rage and potential were stimulated to an infinite degree could he achieve such a leap in strength, and even then, it was only a preliminary mastery of the Golden transformation.
He certainly didn't want to be trapped inside a meatball, hung from a giant tree, and forced to watch a group of little angels singing nursery rhymes every day!
As for the potential the Namekian Eternal Dragon had unlocked for him, it was nothing but a joke!
Whenever he thought of this, he wished he could instantly teleport back to Namek and smash that treacherous, ugly dragon into pieces with a single punch!
The reason was that this potential only allowed him to continue growing stronger, but the speed was pitifully slow!
Through meditation training on his spaceship, his combat power had only increased by 1 million, rising from 120 million to 121 million!
One had to realize that after Son Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan, his power would jump by hundreds of millions or even billions at a time; mentioning this 1 million increase was embarrassing!
"Hey, hand over the Fusion Dance!"
Standing before the two big-headed dolls, Frieza demanded with a cold, indifferent expression.
The beings before him had a combat power of only 100,000, wore little vests and baggy trousers, and possessed disproportionately large heads.
"Eh? Are you an alien? If you want to learn our Fusion Dance, you have to hit me first!"
Thwack!
Without a moment's hesitation, Frieza used his tail to swat him deep into the ground.
"That's the first time I've heard such a base request!"
The other Metamoran saw this scene, his eyes bulging instantly, bloodshot and filled with utter disbelief!
"Can you talk now?"
Frieza swept a cold, ruthless gaze over the remaining big-headed doll and said impatiently.
"Ye-yes, we can talk, but we have to wait for Yadie to wake up. This Fusion Dance requires two people to perform!"
After speaking, the Metamoran hurriedly jumped into the deep pit to cradle his unconscious companion.
"He won't wake up for a few days if he stays like that! Should I smack him awake for you? Oh-ho-ho-ho!"
His signature laugh nearly made the Metamoran cry; it was simply too terrifying!
Splash!
Yadie was tossed into the nearby lake, and the freezing water rushed into his lungs through his nasal cavity, choking him awake instantly.
Boom!
Yadie unleashed his full combat power and shot out of the water, his eyes darting around as he looked at Frieza.
He hadn't even been able to react to that last strike before losing consciousness.
"Hurry up and fuse. I hope you won't disappoint me!"
Frieza's icy gaze and impatient tone made Yadie tremble, and he scrambled back to the ground, shaking like a leaf.
"Yadie, stop shaking! Once we merge, we'll definitely be able to defeat him!"
"Right! Let's fuse now!"
Following that, the two big-headed dolls struck the fusion poses right in front of Frieza!
"FU—SION!"
How ugly, Frieza thought to himself.
Boom!
A warrior with a grid-patterned abdomen was born, still sporting golden markings and a small black vest; he actually looked quite stylish!
He sensed the intensity of the ki—it was roughly 5 million.
In other words, the boost provided by the Fusion Dance was 50 times his base combat power, equivalent to the multiplier of a Super Saiyan 1.
Not bad!
Frieza mused that if his clone's cultivation improved, and he performed another Fusion Dance, he would instantly possess a combat power of 6 billion—enough to handle even Kid Buu without any issues.
Of course, this was only based on the data from the two before him; whether there was an upper limit was something Frieza couldn't know yet.
"Hahaha! Now I am neither Yadie nor Yamiedie; I am Yamiedie! Prepare to die, alien! Let me show you the power of our Fusion Dance!"
This was the side effect of the Fusion Dance: the arrogance that came from a sudden surge in power!
Thwack!
With another tail whip, he slammed him into the ground!
"Yamiedie," he scoffed, "why don't you just call yourself 'Stop-It-Butterfly' instead?"
The principle of the Fusion Dance was simple enough, as could be gleaned from the original work; he merely wanted to verify it in person to see if there were any discrepancies.
As it turned out, there were none at all!
Having wasted three months of space travel for nothing, Frieza felt a bit annoyed.
To vent his frustration, he instantly teleported to the side of the newly awakened Slug and stomped him deep into the earth with a single kick.
Only after confirming that the other was not dead but would remain unconscious for a long time did Frieza feel much better.
Poor Slug had only been awake for a few days, his brain still a complete mush, before he was beaten unconscious by Frieza once again.
Five months later, a Saiyan who looked exactly like Son Goku arrived on Slug's planet, though he failed to notice the deep crater where Slug lay comatose.
"This planet is quite suitable for planting the Tree of Might, and there are no powerful combatants here, so I shall plant it here!"
Frieza was unaware of this, as he had already returned to the Ice Planet and retreated into a deeper, colder region to cultivate.
As for the Frieza Force, he had temporarily entrusted it to King Cold; the old man was bored out of his mind anyway!
In order to survive well in the future, Frieza was also working his life away; first and foremost, he had to be able to speak with the Supreme Kai, otherwise, how could he possibly get his hands on the Potara Earrings?
As for the God of Destruction, he had enough self-awareness to know that there was no possibility of negotiating with him for the time being; the only thing he could do was perform some of his dirty work!
While Frieza was in seclusion, time slipped away quietly, and Vegeta arrived on Earth.
The plot unfolded exactly as it had in the original work, from Vegeta's initial arrogance to his miserable departure, without the slightest deviation.
The only discrepancy was that after Vegeta returned, he did not hear that Frieza had gone to Namek, but rather that King Cold had set off for Namek in high spirits.
Vegeta did not know King Cold at all, nor did he have any idea how strong the man was.
He only learned from Cui that King Cold was Frieza's father, and that his combat power was even more terrifying than Frieza's!
Furthermore, King Cold had brought out his own subordinates—a five-man squad named Kude—the weakest of whom had easily thrashed Ginyu!
Dodoria and Zarbon had become mere squad leaders under King Cold, and Dodoria, in particular, spent his days washing his face with tears!
He looked exactly like a concubine who had fallen out of favor and been cast into the cold palace!
Vegeta was furious, simply because the image of Dodoria's fat body with the expression of a resentful little wife had appeared in his mind and startled him!
He decided to go to Namek to give Dodoria a sound beating, and if he could fish in troubled waters and snatch the Dragon Ball, that would be even better!
