Background / History
Genmu is the great-grandson of a former Uchiha clan head and is described as possessing cultivation talent. He and Meiko raised their son, Uchiha Zhuang, while attempting to conceal and manage the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the boy's rapid growth. 3 20
After Zhuang returned from months of training outside Konoha, Genmu ambushed him as a practical test. Their clash confirmed Zhuang's two-tomoe Sharingan and abnormal chakra reserves, while also showing Genmu that his son lacked experience despite his power. 17
Genmu subsequently trained Zhuang in the Transformation, Substitution, and Clone Techniques. He also identified Zhuang's poor resistance to genjutsu and taught him methods for breaking illusions. 18
Alongside Meiko, Genmu supported Zhuang's decision to use the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Body Tempering Manual as capital for his ambition to become Uchiha clan head. He reported Zhuang's achievements and the manual to the clan leadership, contributing to the clan's decision to groom Zhuang as the next head. 22 25 33
Personality
Genmu is blunt, competitive, and prone to bantering with Zhuang, even during their training and combat. He initially resists teaching the three basic ninjutsu, but relents after pressure from Meiko and recognizes Zhuang's exceptional talent. 18
Despite his teasing demeanor, Genmu is protective and pragmatic. He warns Zhuang against arrogance, stresses that stronger people always exist, and advises him to conceal part of his strength because Konoha suppresses the Uchiha clan. 17
He and Meiko want Zhuang to live safely rather than constantly pursue life-or-death conflict. Genmu nevertheless respects his son's determination, assists his development, and quietly supports his rise within the clan. 20 32 33
