"Pfft—"
Recoome had just spat out half of his mouth blast when Broly abruptly interrupted his attack.
The golden energy exploded in his mouth with a muffled bang, and smoke poured from both the corners of his mouth and his nostrils.
The blast had swollen his mouth, turning his lips inside out until they looked like two charred sausages.
Worse, with nowhere else to go, much of the energy he hadn't yet spat out sprayed from his nostrils.
Even so, plenty of it still shot toward Vegeta.
The scattered fragments of energy trailed golden flames, covering most of the area like a sudden meteor shower.
Vegeta was in terrible shape. He was covered in blood, his limbs were weak, and he could barely stand. There was no way he could dodge in time.
In fact, he didn't even have the strength to raise a hand.
Just as Recoome's mouth blast was about to hit Vegeta head-on,
a Scepter suddenly appeared in Linoshi's hand.
Without the slightest hesitation, she pointed it at Vegeta from afar.
"Whoosh!"
Vegeta vanished from where he stood.
In the blink of an eye, he appeared beside Reiz.
He was still in the same half-kneeling position, looking just as battered as before. Only his location had changed.
As soon as Linoshi finished casting, she spun around, moving so quickly she looked like she was sneaking around.
She hid the Scepter behind her back, and it dissolved into specks of Starlight that vanished into the air.
Only then did she turn back and timidly glance at Reiz. Her blue eyes held a trace of guilt, and her lashes fluttered lightly.
Reiz held back a laugh and pretended not to notice.
His gaze passed over Linoshi and settled on the distant battlefield, his expression as calm as still water.
