Ch. 561Reincarnation

Peruere defeated the Former Knave, became Arlecchino, and took in an orphan after the House of the Hearth fell. A later Sky Screen segment explained that reincarnation was nearly impossible, prompting Zhongli to confront the possibility that a child resembling Guizhong was her rebirth.

  • Peruere overcame the Former Knave and destroyed the building with the Fire of Two Worlds, avenging Clervie.
  • Pierro announced Peruere’s pardon and named her Arlecchino, the new Knave, before she found an orphan and offered to raise the child as a strict father.

Ch. 562A Letter Carried by the Wind

The Sky Screen showed Zhongli bringing a girl who resembled Guizhong to meet Liyue’s adepti, stirring memories of Guizhong and Madame Ping. A letter from Venti then led the Traveler and Paimon to Starsnatch Cliff, where Venti asked about their Nod-Krai adventure and recalled meeting a young knight; the scene ended as the Traveler, Paimon, and Venti approached that knight after he defeated a Ruin Guard.

  • Zhongli brought the girl who resembled Guizhong before Liyue’s adepti, and Madame Ping noticed that the girl’s words echoed her old conversations with Guizhong.
  • Zhongli told the girl that Madame Ping still lived as an elder and had taken two disciples, while the girl looked forward to meeting her and tasting Xiangling’s Black-Back Perch Stew.
  • Paimon found a letter from Venti inviting the Traveler to Starsnatch Cliff, so the Traveler and Paimon went there and heard Venti ask for the story of their Nod-Krai adventure.

  • Lorne introduced himself to Venti, the Traveler, and Paimon as a deputy captain of the Favonius Knights Expeditionary Force and said Varka had sent him to deliver letters.
  • Venti read Varka’s letter, asked the Traveler to guide Lorne back to Mondstadt, and said he would need to think carefully about his reply.
  • Varka defeated a group of Wild Hunt members and said the expedition was nearly over as he prepared to investigate a suspected target alone.
  • Varka encountered a wolf-shaped ghost, greeted it as Andrius, and followed it while wondering if he was hearing echoes from a thousand years ago.
  • Varka reached the end of the path, took out a blue greatsword, and drove it into the ground as he prepared to face his old friend.

Ch. 564Lord of Wolves of the North

Varka’s encounter with the Wolf Spirit revealed that it was a fragment of Andrius, while his letters to the Knights raised Jean’s concern that something was wrong. On the Moon, Raiden Makoto and Raiden Ei recalled the gatherings of the Seven Archons and reflected on Ei’s past choices.

  • Varka heard an ancient exchange between Andrius and a knight, then faced the Wolf Spirit after it transformed into a giant wolf.
  • Layla explained that Andrius was the Lord of Wolves of the North, whose remaining soul fragments were still powerful, and discussed his rivalry with Barbatos.
  • Jean read Varka’s letters to the Knights and grew uneasy that he had written one to everyone; Lorne set off to deliver a letter to Wolvendom.
  • Paimon and the Traveler agreed to deliver letters to Angel’s Share, while the Traveler chose to speak with Jean first.
  • Raiden Makoto and Raiden Ei discussed Ei’s former reserve and the tragedies that followed, then Makoto recalled Barbatos once pouring wine over Morax’s head at an Archon gathering.

The Traveler and Paimon delivered three letters, prompting Diluc, Kaeya, and Rosaria to discuss Varka’s invitation for Diluc to return to the Knights of Favonius and their different ways of protecting Mondstadt. The conversation ended with Diluc explaining why Varka had been especially concerned and revealing that the Knight of Boreas’s legacy had faced a second crisis five hundred years ago.

  • The Traveler and Paimon arrived at Angel’s Share with three letters and delivered Varka’s letter to Diluc.
  • Diluc explained that he had refused Varka’s invitation to rejoin the Knights of Favonius because he believed someone needed to remain vigilant outside the organization.
  • Rosaria and Kaeya discussed how Diluc could protect Mondstadt without joining the Knights, while Paimon struggled to follow their conversation.
  • The Traveler realized that Varka had brought them together to see them discussing their different approaches to protecting Mondstadt.
  • Diluc explained that Varka’s concern was sincere because people devoted to justice could be driven to extremes after upheaval, and he revealed that the Knight of Boreas’s legacy had nearly ended twice.
  • Kaeya said the second crisis for the Knight of Boreas occurred five hundred years ago.

Ch. 567Everyday Childcare

Ch. 569The Wolf King's Past

Venti recounted Andrius’s past, including his choice to split his soul and return to Mondstadt with a knight. The Wolf King revealed that the turmoil in Nod-Krai was linked to the soul fragment he left there and to a familiar scent of blood, pointing the Traveler toward further investigation.

  • The Wolf King told the Traveler that Wild Hunt traces from Nod-Krai had crossed the Ley Lines and that Andrius’s remaining soul in the north was the source of the turmoil.

After the others discussed who might help the Tsaritsa, the screen showed the gods offering the Traveler parting words before the journey reached Snezhnaya.

  • Rosalyne asked whether Visna was truly as the Sky Screen described, and Arlecchino and Sandrone explained that the Winter Pact Army feared her.
  • The Fatui concluded that Visna’s reputation came from her powerful, mischievous behavior toward her subordinates and the gap in understanding between the groups.
  • Venti told Guizhong and Zhongli a Snezhnayan legend claiming that every Mora carried Morax’s will and let him monitor people, and Zhongli dismissed it as nonsense.

Ch. 577Supporting Varka

Ch. 578Archon Residue

Varka warned that the enemy could be killed, but doing so risked spreading Andrius's Archon Residue across Nod-Krai. The Traveler and Paimon gathered with allies at the expeditionary camp to discuss the threat and await Albedo and Durin's analysis.

  • Varka explained that the enemy's use of Nod-Krai and Andrius's remnants made Archon Residue the main obstacle to killing him safely.
  • Xiao worried that killing Andrius could contaminate Nod-Krai, while Bosacius urged him to enjoy time with his family; Columbina said cleansing the residue would take great effort and still endanger the region.
  • Layla told Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu that Archon Residue was deadly, but it was unlikely to appear on Douluo Continent unless an Archon died there.
  • The Traveler and Paimon met Jahoda, who relayed that Nefer had checked on Lauma and Columbina and that the Moon Hunters' space remained unchanged.

Ch. 580Grandmaster's Arrangements

Varka explained that Boreas had merged himself into Mondstadt’s Ley Lines to protect the city and proposed using his Wolf Spirit fragments to strengthen the wish in Varka’s sword, free Andrius from Abyssal control, and let him choose that fate again. The group prepared to collect the remaining fragments, with Varka and the Traveler setting out first.

  • Varka told the group that Boreas’s final wish had made him the cornerstone protecting Mondstadt, and that they would use the wish to reach Andrius’s heart and free him from the Abyss.
  • Albedo explained that Boreas could send no more power, but fragments of his Wolf Spirit could strengthen the wish; Varka said he had already gathered most of them in his sword.
  • Varka said three fragments remained in Nod-Krai: he had collected one, confirmed the location of another, and needed help finding the last.
  • The group pledged support against Roland’s reflection, and Varka assigned Jahoda to handle intelligence transmission and battlefield communications.
  • Varka asked the Traveler to accompany him to collect the fragments, then ended the meeting and ordered everyone to move out.
