Normally, I post two chapters a day on weekdays, but everyone's been so enthusiastic about demanding more lately—one alliance leader, several 10,000-yuan rewards, and a whole pile of other tips, big and small. I'd feel bad not adding extra chapters.
It's not that July deliberately stopped at a climax to drag out the update. I just don't have a backlog, and there are only so many hours I can spend writing each day.
On a normal day, I start writing at six in the evening and finish a chapter before half past eight. Then I proofread and upload it, take a break until around nine, and start writing again. I can usually finish another chapter around eleven, proofread it, and schedule it to go live the next morning. After that, I sleep until I wake naturally, eat, and go to work without even turning on my computer.
July's stamina for staying up late is pathetic. I'm pretty much always asleep before midnight—everyone in the group knows that. So that's when they accuse me of writing short, quick chapters. At least I won't see it anyway. ←_←
The last time I needed to churn out 15 chapters across all platforms, I stayed up past midnight every day. I was so exhausted I could barely function, and there were quite a few mistakes, too.
My writing's pretty lousy at night, so I'm planning to write a bit more tonight and get up early tomorrow to write some more, trying not to delay the morning update.
That's the misery of writing on the side: time's like a ditch—you always have to dig and scrape to make room for it. ←_←
