Covering roughly ten square kilometers, from the sky it looked, together with the many other air cavalry bases, like an unbroken, densely packed string of pearls scattered along the eastern bank of the Wei River at the very forefront beside the human defensive line. Along the Wei River front, one such base could be seen every two hundred kilometers or so. An ordinary air cavalry base generally housed one air cavalry regiment, while some larger ones had been converted directly from major airship bases and stationed even more air cavalry.
