The next morning, Zhang Tie saw Shabalina with two dark circles under her eyes. Five years had passed since they last met, yet Shabalina was still exactly as she had been before. If there was any change, it truly was not as great as the changes Zhang Tie had made to this body through his Illusory Body Divine Bloodline.
"What's wrong? Didn't sleep well last night?" Zhang Tie asked Shabalina with a grin.
Among these women, although Shabalina had never shared his bed, the two of them had a particularly special understanding. Thus, even after five years apart, that sense of tacit understanding needed no explanation from Zhang Tie. Just one half-concerned, half-joking remark made them feel as if they had returned to five years ago, without the slightest sense of unfamiliarity.
"I slept next door to someone last night and listened to someone perform a symphony all night long. Tell me, how could I possibly sleep well?" Shabalina rolled her eyes at Zhang Tie.
Zhang Tie burst out laughing and pulled Shabalina into his arms. "You haven't changed at all!"
Shabalina sighed, cupped Zhang Tie's face in both hands, and looked seriously into his eyes. "But you've changed far too much. Five years ago, you still felt like a sunny young boy. Today, you've truly become a real man!"
"Is that a bad thing?"
"It is. It's terrible!" Shabalina shook her head. "A few years ago, I could still treat you like a mischievous little brother and dare to fool around with you. But now, I don't even dare fool around with you anymore!"
"Why?"
"I'm afraid I'll fall in love with you, then become like other women—making a man the center of my life and existence, losing my freedom from then on and becoming a slave to love,
