Background / History
Mu En is Shrek Academy’s foremost pillar and the Pavilion Master of the Sea God Pavilion. Though he initially appears as a frail, hunched elder resting on a recliner, he is a Limit Douluo whose presence anchors Sea God Island and Shrek Academy’s highest authority. 3
After Yan Shaozhe reports Xia Ming’s Innate Domain, Innate Full Soul Power, and Golden-Haired Lion Mastiff martial soul, Mu En personally decides that Xia Ming will remain on Sea God Island and be taught by him. The Sea God Pavilion elders unanimously accept the decision. 4 Mu En later accepts Xia Ming as his final disciple and arranges his residence, foundational cultivation, and first soul-ring hunt. 6
He supports Xia Ming’s unconventional cultivation path from the beginning, approving percentage-based augmentation skills for their long-term potential and allowing him to attempt a millennium first soul ring after assessing his physique. 7 He continues to invest rare resources into Xia Ming’s growth, including immortal herbs, the Evil Eye External Soul Bone, and the Dragon Core. 17 23 162
Appearance
Mu En ordinarily resembles a weathered old man in the twilight of his life, but his frailty conceals overwhelming power. In battle, his posture straightens and his eyes transform into golden vertical pupils bearing the majesty of the Bright Sacred Dragon. 3 106 107

Personality
Mu En is calm, gentle, and difficult to unsettle. He listens carefully before acting, whether judging Xia Ming’s potential, negotiating with major sects, or confronting hidden enemies. 4 20 130
Beneath his composed demeanor is a decisive and pragmatic leader. He refuses to rashly attack the Holy Spirit Cult’s headquarters while the Evil Emperor remains a threat, retreats from Ming Capital rather than waste strength in a three-on-one battle, and later defines Shrek’s limits on intervening in imperial wars. 31 46 212
As a teacher, he holds exceptionally high expectations for Xia Ming without attempting to restrain his growth. He personally nurtures him, entrusts him with rare resources, and ultimately accepts defeat when Xia Ming surpasses him. 6 39 108 162
