Background / History

Huo Yuhao recalls that, when he possessed only the Spirit Eye Martial Soul, he and his mother were bullied; he attributes his mother's death to that period of weakness. Her death drives his determination to become strong enough to take revenge against the White Tiger Duke Mansion and Dai Hao. 92 134

He first appears in the Star Dou Great Forest while fleeing a Wind Baboon. Su Qing saves him by pinning the beast to a tree with the Silver Dragon Spear. Though Huo Yuhao initially fears that his rescuer may harm him, he quickly feels ashamed of his suspicion after Su Qing treats him kindly. 20

Soon afterward, Sky Dream Ice Silkworm chooses Huo Yuhao as its host, opens his Spiritual Sea, and begins fusing with him. The gray bead containing Electrolux also enters his Sea of Consciousness. Huo Yuhao asks Su Qing to keep these events secret, then thanks him by sharing grilled fish. 20 21

Tang Ya recruits Huo Yuhao into the Tang Sect during the group's return from the forest. He vows to help revitalize the sect and receives a special admission place at Shrek Academy. 25

Appearance

Huo Yuhao is initially described as a scrawny youth with legs “as thin as dry firewood.” After his Far North journey, he returns to Shrek in tattered clothing and collapses from exhaustion at the academy gate. 20 55

His ambition is deeply connected to revenge. He struggles to conceal his hatred when approaching Dai Hao, but follows Electrolux's advice to endure until he has sufficient strength.
