Chapter Summaries

Chen confronted Orochimaru, using unfamiliar techniques and weapons to fend off the Sannin’s attempts to capture him. After Orochimaru summoned the Kusanagi Sword and their attacks failed to settle the fight, Chen announced his escape and left the confrontation unresolved.

• Chen sent Haku ahead while he stayed behind to face Orochimaru and Kimimaro.
• Chen attacked Orochimaru with fire techniques and Pale Fire Drop, piercing Orochimaru’s Earth Style Wall and causing two of Chen’s abilities to level up.
• Orochimaru became fascinated by Chen’s unusual power and drew the Kusanagi Sword, while Chen armed himself with his Asauchi.
• Chen and Orochimaru clashed swords, then Chen used Flowing Fire Blade, a Shadow Clone, and Dragon Flame Technique, but Orochimaru blocked the flames with Hidden Shadow Snake Hands.
