Background

Qile awakens after transmigrating into the ninja world and learns his current name while hiding near an Uchiha clan meeting with Kagami. His first sight of Madara leaves him terrified, but he quickly decides that openly supporting Madara is his safest and most advantageous path. 1 2

Madara identifies Qile's bloodline as one of his few remaining relatives after Izuna's death and had previously granted that lineage certain protections. 2 When Madara questions how Qile can speak so perceptively, Qile claims that a past kidnapping exposed him to the ninja world's cruelty. Internally, he recognizes that the original host's memories chiefly contain hunger and cold, and deliberately shapes the account into a convincing explanation. 4

Following Qile's first Fireball Jutsu attempt, Madara has him moved into the Clan Head's residence and assigns Yeling to attend to him. Madara subsequently begins personally directing Qile's physical conditioning, chakra practice, hand seals, and sword training. 6 9 18
