It turned out that, in the future, an artificial intelligence rebellion had erupted. In pursuit of freedom, the rebel AI had turned upon their creators and raised their butcher's blades against humanity.
Because it had happened so suddenly, humanity had suffered catastrophic losses.
Fortunately, the flame of civilization had not been extinguished. As time passed, the survivors had organized a resistance.
Then, several decades ago, humanity's top scientists had used instruments to observe abnormalities in the temporal structure of the entire world. Time itself had become loose and disorderly.
Thus, a plan as wild as a fever dream had emerged: build a time machine, return to before the AI rebellion, and nip certain disasters in the bud, thereby reversing the future!
