It was no longer possible to find a single normal cell in Zhao Cheng's body.
As for Candle Dragon, the reason it coiled around the uranium rod was that it had evolved a cellular structure capable of directly absorbing nuclear radiation and converting it into energy. The concentration of nuclear radiation in the air was simply too low for it.
Zhao Cheng could not yet absorb nuclear radiation, but once he killed Candle Dragon and absorbed its cellular structure, that would no longer be a problem.
The Wasteland was now filled with countless aberrations, yet among animals, at least in this particular region, there were not many capable of directly absorbing nuclear radiation.
Plants, on the other hand, had many species that had evolved the ability to absorb radiation energy. Moss had evolved the fastest among them.
Normally, it would have been impossible for animals to evolve such a structure in such a short time. But the Wasteland contained a mysterious power: as long as one's conviction was strong enough, it could turn the impossible into possible.
Even Zhao Cheng's current state was primarily reliant on that mysterious power.
Boom!
In a flash of lightning and sparks, Candle Dragon's coiled body spun at high speed and unwound itself from the oversized uranium rod. Carrying tremendous kinetic force, it pounced at Zhao Cheng to kill him.
With a pounce and a swing, its enormous tail was like an incomparably huge and heavy whip. A casual twitch sent the air exploding apart, as though even space itself could not bear such weight and force and was about to be smashed to pieces.
Yet compared to the physical attack, what was even more terrifying was the radiative power contained within that tail.
Back when it had still been a synthetic beast, Candle Dragon
