The void was not empty—shatter the void!
The Dao arts of Daoist Dongyue's lineage appeared to have been born for destruction, but in truth, if one truly cultivated them to the supreme realm of Shattering the Void, it was no longer destruction, but rebirth.
Shattering the Void was, in essence, the path of rebirth. Through rebirth, one climbed to loftier peaks.
Of course, Daoist Dongyue was merely a Human Immortal, so he naturally could not possess the realm of Shattering the Void. Shattering the Void was an attainment above Daluo!
Yet there was no question that he was a heaven-gifted genius to have become an immortal in the mortal world.
Indeed, so long as Daoists consumed qi in their cultivation, their cultivation could advance by leaps and bounds. But given the same quantity of qi, some could become immortals, while others remained mere mortals.
That was the difference talent made.
If one's talent was insufficient and one could not comprehend the divine marrow of Dao arts, then both Dao Seed and mana would be loose and scattered. Swallowing one measure of qi would yield no more than one or two parts, while for those of stunning talent, one measure of qi could even produce the effect of two.
Not only could they consume the qi of living beings, but while doing so, they could also draw forth a measure of divine power from the void, further enhancing their Dao Seed and mana.
Daoist Dongyue was now two hundred and thirty-one years old. Human Immortals lived for two hundred years, but that limit was not unbreakable.
From his own scriptures, Daoist Dongyue had grasped a trace of the surface of Shattering the Void and created a divine ability called the Void Rebirth Method, extending his lifespan by an additional sixty years.
