This was the power of the Heavenly Emperor. There had originally been no such thing as a Heavenly Emperor in this world. It was something created by Jun and the other wills of Heaven, after endless ages spent observing the workings of Earth and Void and dissecting the source of the Great Dao.
In a sense, this extraordinary system itself was the exploration Jun and those wills of Heaven had undertaken in pursuit of immortality.
Yet this path had ultimately failed. Without the crucial element of Earth, the so-called Heavenly Emperor could only be the emperor of Heaven, the sovereign of the Heavenly Dao—not the sovereign of Earth.
Though many people subconsciously believed that Heaven stood above Earth, the truth was that Heaven and Earth stood side by side.
At this moment, the Heavenly Emperor body evolved by the thirty-six Imperial Lords joining forces and burning their Dao Fruits was practically comparable to the incarnation of the Heavenly Dao in the mortal world. However, Void had already been corrupted. Their power was not drawn from Void, but from their own Dao Fruits.
Thus, their power could not be as inexhaustible and boundless as it had once been in Void. But in terms of status and essence, it was not lacking in the slightest.
Every lift of a hand and movement of a foot carried the mighty force of Heaven and Earth colliding, of space-time exploding.
And under the effect of the formation, the thirty-six Imperial Lords no longer needed any exchange of thoughts. Their wills now existed in a strange superimposed state; each Imperial Lord's thoughts were like the thoughts that arose and vanished within an ordinary person's heart.
Thus, though the Heavenly Emperor body was controlled by all thirty-six Imperial Lords at once, it showed not the slightest chaos.
