Under such circumstances, the words of the Primordial collective will, forged by the Wilderness Lord and the other Eternal Ones and as lofty as the Dao of Heaven itself, struck straight at their weak point.
It said they were inferior to Zhao Cheng.

And that fury was not mere anger. It also carried a measure of fear—fear of Zhao Cheng.
Indeed, they had witnessed Zhao Cheng's destruction with their own eyes.
They believed that, under those circumstances, it had been impossible for Zhao Cheng to survive.
Yet they also understood deeply that the reason they had ultimately been able to kill Zhao Cheng had not been entirely due to their own power, or their own Dao of Infinity. Many factors had been involved.
When they had struck, Zhao Cheng had already been nearly spent after his long battle against the dimensions, his entire being almost completely exhausted.
Only then had they succeeded in one fell swoop, ushering in a qualitative transformation and ascension afterward.
They had believed that, after that transformation, they would be able to defeat Zhao Cheng even in a direct confrontation.
Zhao Cheng had certainly created the multiverse, but they were no lesser. They had created the Infinite World. Even if they abandoned the Infinite World, their power was enough to create spacetime worlds akin to the multiverse.
