It was dreams, not ideals.
Ideals always conformed to reality, while dreams were far more wild and unrestrained. They could be bizarre, unreasonable, and absurd.
Everyone had dreams—or rather, had once had them. But as they gradually came to understand the thing called reality, those dreams were slowly worn away until, in the end, they were forgotten by their owners.
And Dream Space had been born because of this.
According to some rumors, certain mighty beings claimed that Dream Space was formed from the suppressed and extinguished dreams of the multiverse's countless living beings.
The spirit of life was an exceedingly strange thing, possessing both high- and low-dimensional aspects. One or two might be weak, but when that number approached infinity, it became the breeding ground for "miracles."
Dream Space was one such singularity. There were quite a few similar singularities in the multiverse, though they did not necessarily exist in the form of Dream Space.
For example, Heaven and Hell!
Of course, this Heaven was not the Heaven inhabited by gods and countless angels. It was the condensation of the positive spiritual power of all living beings.
Hell was the same—a collective of negative spiritual power.
Certain lucky individuals happened, by chance, to connect with these singularities, and thus the legends of gods and demons began.
But whether the truth really was like this, no one knew. It was merely a widely circulated claim within Dream Space, with no solid evidence to prove it.
Still, Dream Space's dreamers took it in stride. In reality, they had been about to die. Being chosen by the Space was undoubtedly like getting a free extra life.
Even if this so-called dream fulfillment was merely the Space dangling a pie in the sky, at least it was willing to dangle one for you.
