"How are things on your end?" Lin Xiu swung the sickle in his hand, slaughtering and harvesting all the Soul Beasts that swarmed him like a dancing reaper. His movements were so fast that the staff watching him sucked in a sharp breath. Was this really the speed a Soul Elder could display?
Qiangu Dongfeng was so angry he was about to die. He had thought himself exceptionally talented, but now another guy had appeared who was even better than he was. It was enough to make him furious!

Feeling blood run from its forepaw, the Wolf King realized the One-Ring Soul Master before it was no pushover.
It unleashed a fearsome aura and stared fixedly at Lin Nuo, searching for an opening.
Lin Nuo stared right back at the Wolf King, with no thought of retreating. Or rather, with Lin Xiu supporting him, he had the power to kill it in one blow, but he couldn't do that.
Leng Yulai behind him, Leng Yaozhu in the distance, and the Spirit Pagoda staff watching from the sidelines were all dumbfounded. What had they just seen?
A One-Ring Soul Master had just flung a Millennium Wolf King into the air. The technical staff were especially shaken. Even if this technology was artificially enhanced and still immature, was this something a One-Ring Soul Master could do?

Lin Nuo caught the hesitation in the Wolf King's eyes. His movements suddenly quickened, and the Holy Spear of Time in his hand glowed with a pale golden light. The instant the Wolf King lost focus, he lunged forward, driving the sharp spearhead straight through its thick forepaw.
"Awoo!" The Wolf King howled in pain as the spear pierced its flesh. Lin Nuo gave it no chance to catch its breath, stabbing it again and again. His speed reached more than a dozen thrusts per second. In a blink, he killed the beast before him, which turned into specks of starlight that gathered around Lin Nuo and Leng Yulai.
After killing the Millennium Wolf King, Lin Nuo immediately ended Lin Xiu's support. His strength vanished, and he fell backward.
Leng Yulai had just finished off the remaining Hundred-Year Soul Beasts. Seeing Lin Nuo suddenly fall back, she hurried over and caught him. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I just used up some strength. I'll be all right after resting a little." Lin Nuo hadn't expected such severe side effects from borrowing power. His whole body ached, and he could barely stand.
