The Dragon King Era.
Late at night.
Na'er suddenly woke up in the apartment. Seeing her brother holding her as he slept, she carefully got up, afraid her movements would disturb him.
She climbed out of bed, picked up the ring her brother had forged for her for the first time, and slipped it on. Then she left the room and returned to the one where she hadn't slept in a long time. She pulled out an envelope she'd written at some point and prepared to leave it in the living room.
Just then, a sudden voice came from behind her, making her whole body stiffen.
"Na'er, you're leaving?"
"Ahhh!"
A sharp scream burst from her lips. Na'er was so startled that she jumped straight up, her body swaying in midair.
Who could have imagined that the dignified Silver Dragon King's avatar would lose her composure at a sudden question like that?
But when she whipped around and saw Lin Nuo, her tense body immediately relaxed. Her chest heaved, and her breathing still came in hurried, uneven gasps.
The very next moment, however, her expression turned flustered again. Her lips moved, but she didn't know how to answer such a blunt, unexpected question.
Lin Nuo looked at the uneasy Na'er before him, walked over, and took the envelope from her hand. He tossed it into the nearby trash can. "Rather than say goodbye in a letter, I'd rather you tell me yourself."
Na'er gazed at her brother's serious expression. No longer hesitating, she took a deep breath, raised her head, and met Lin Nuo's eyes. "Brother, I'm leaving."
"Mm." Lin Nuo nodded and reached out to pat Na'er on the head. "Then I'll look forward to seeing you again."
"Brother, I'll look forward to it too." Na'er hugged Lin Nuo,
