Skysea City wasn't very far from Eastsea City. The Soul Guidance Train took only half a day.
The black mecha could get there in just a few hours.
The two of them had set out at around six.
By eight or nine that evening, they had already arrived in Skysea City.
Looking at the city before him, which was even larger than Eastsea City, Li Ang's eyes held a hint of curiosity.
It was his first time in Skysea City, too.
The city had a modern feel. The two of them calmly stepped out of the mecha and walked inside.
This time, A Ruheng put the mecha in the mecha storage facility.
It was a place specifically meant for storing mechas.
But when the young attendant looked at the black mecha, his eyes filled with shock.
Everyone knew that the minimum requirement for piloting a black mecha was Soul Douluo.
And the vast majority of its users were Titled Douluo.
It was already the most advanced class of mecha.
It was rare to see one in the mecha storage facility in Skysea City. In fact, it had almost never happened before.
After all, anyone who could afford a black mecha would most likely buy a mecha storage ring and carry their mecha around with them.
And though these storage rings were expensive, most people who owned a black or purple mecha would buy one.
A Ruheng was the sort of person who owned a black mecha but couldn't afford a ring. The attendant had probably never seen anyone like him before.
Seeing the young attendant's somewhat awkward gaze, then looking at A Ruheng's utterly unconcerned expression, Li Ang's mouth twitched—a rare sight.
Once they entered the city, A Ruheng began following behind Li Ang. It was obvious that his senior fellow disciple didn't have any money at all.
Seeing A Ruheng's awkward look, Li Ang didn't mind. When they reached the most luxurious hotel, he immediately booked two single rooms.
A single room cost around seven or eight hundred Federal Credits.
Li Ang didn't care much about that amount.
And when he learned there was going to be an auction, he went straight to Leng Yaozhu for money—or, rather, he sent her the information.
Leng Yaozhu was also somewhat interested in auctions held by ancient sects and families that had fallen into decline.
Though most of these sects had fallen on hard times, their foundations remained.
Even some of the good things they could bring out might interest a Titled Douluo.
So this time, Leng Yaozhu transferred an astronomical sum to Li Ang through an anonymous account.
She told him to spend it as he pleased.
Thinking of the money in his account, Li Ang felt much more at ease.
That evening, after treating A Ruheng to dinner, he asked for the information card and began looking over the criminal's profile.
The man was a fugitive, an Evil Soul Master who had escaped from a Federation prison.
His strength was above level sixty-five, making him a veteran Soul Emperor.
His Martial Soul was called the Yin-Yang Cauldron, an extremely evil Martial Soul.
It could harvest yin to replenish yang, helping him rapidly increase his Soul Power.
In short, this Evil Soul Master was a powerful sexual predator.
His Martial Soul was evil by nature.
During the half month he had been in Skysea City, he had raped and plundered more than forty women.
Most of them had been young girls and teenagers.
This was undeniably a serious criminal incident.
Yet the Federation authorities were just as helpless—or, rather, they simply couldn't resolve it.
After all, this wasn't a major metropolis at the heart of the Federation. It was just a remote city.
Though the city was quite prosperous, its strongest experts were only around the level of Soul Kings and Soul Emperors.
Under these circumstances, making them face an Evil Soul Master who was a Soul Emperor was no easy task. Even if his foundations were weaker than those of an ordinary Soul Emperor, he was still formidable.
It was virtually impossible for ordinary Soul Masters to capture him.
After the strongest Soul Emperors in Skysea City failed to handle the matter, the city's police and local military forces had even less chance of doing so.
As a result, the fugitive had been here for half a month. Though they had tried to capture him several times, nothing had come of it.
Instead, many innocent women had fallen victim to him.
Looking at the utterly appalling situation, Li Ang's brows furrowed deeply.
His eyes held a murderous intent that was hard to describe.
Then he looked at A Ruheng.
"Senior brother, this has to be a problem with the Federation prison, right? They let an Evil Soul Master like this escape and sent him to a place like this. Is no one going to do anything about it?"
"In just half a month, he's already preyed on so many women. If he stays here, this entire city will fall into chaos. Are the Federation's higher-ups really going to ignore this?"
Li Ang's usually calm voice had risen noticeably.
Hearing him, A Ruheng sat to one side and gently shook his head.
He looked at his junior fellow disciple.
Seeing the anger and indignation in the other man's eyes, A Ruheng could only feel helpless.
His junior fellow disciple looked almost exactly as he himself had back then.
But some things weren't so simple.
"The reason he came to Skysea City might be that someone arranged it. They deliberately sent a man like this here, probably hoping to bring down Skysea City's lord."
A Ruheng paused there.
This wasn't information he had obtained firsthand. It was Mu Ye's deduction after seeing the report.
Otherwise, the city had more than one Soul Emperor. Several Soul Emperors working together couldn't possibly have failed to deal with an opponent who was also a Soul Emperor.
And the most likely reason they hadn't resolved it by now was that those Soul Emperors didn't particularly want to.
Or maybe some of them wanted to resolve it, while others didn't.
Mu Ye had been rather cryptic when he explained it, so A Ruheng only knew a little. He didn't really understand.
But the moment Li Ang heard this, he understood.
"So it's a struggle for power. Just for the sake of so-called power, these people sent an Evil Soul Master to Skysea City, letting him prey on its innocent women. And they still haven't even tried to capture him."
Li Ang's eyes held a hint of ice, along with a nearly cold-blooded murderous intent.
A Ruheng didn't notice any of this.
He merely nodded, somewhat uncertainly, then spoke with a trace of helplessness.
"Junior brother, your senior brother understands how you feel, but there's nothing we can do about it. We came here, didn't we?"
"Now that we're here, we can resolve this. Even if you can't beat him, your senior brother will help you take down that Evil Soul Master."
As A Ruheng said this, his expression turned unusually serious.
Over the years, this was the sort of thing he had done while traveling.
He had killed troublemakers and Evil Soul Masters, and even secretly killed some Evil Soul Masters who had no bounty on their heads.
But the Evil Soul Masters who hadn't been captured—or who were able to operate in places like the Federation—were usually in league with officials.
They funneled benefits to those officials and helped them eliminate political rivals.
Or perhaps they had been deliberately tolerated by their officials' rivals.
So A Ruheng had actually made quite a few enemies during this time.
It was only because Mu Ye, a top Super Douluo of the Body Sect, was backing him that the Federation's higher-ups had said nothing.
Or, rather, they had never taken any major action.
