Fu Wen looked at her, a hint of seriousness appearing in his eyes.
"Where did you learn these ideas?"
"No one taught me." Ning Rongrong shook her head. "I thought of them myself."
Fu Wen fell silent.
He recalled what Ma Hongjun had said last night: her genius lay in her brain.
Indeed, it was so.
This kind of combat intuition and tactical analytical ability could not be taught; it was innate.
"You're right." Fu Wen nodded. "Flow-Severing does have a blind spot on the ground. Thank you for reminding me."
Ning Rongrong was stunned for a moment, then smiled.
This was the first time Fu Wen had said "thank you" to her.
"You're welcome." She lifted her chin, turned around triumphantly, and continued running.
Fu Wen watched her retreating figure, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.
This young lady was becoming more and more interesting.
In the morning, Flender called the four children together.
"Today's training content is team coordination."
Flender paced back and forth in front of the four with his hands behind his back. "The four of you will be fighting together in the future. So, from now on, you must cultivate synergy."
"Ning Rongrong is a support type, mainly responsible for buffing Oscar and Ma Hongjun."
"Oscar is a food type, mainly responsible for Flying Sausage and Recovery Sausage."
"Ma Hongjun is a power attack type, mainly responsible for output."
"Fu Wen is a power attack type, mainly responsible for melee combat and disruption."
"Your task is very simple: force Zhao Wuji to retreat three steps within the time it takes for one incense stick to burn."
The four children looked at Zhao Wuji simultaneously.
Zhao Wuji stood in the middle of the training ground, arms crossed over his chest, a faint smile on his lips.
"Come on, let me see what you four little monsters are capable of."
"The Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda has a name, the first is: Power!"
Ning Rongrong was the first to release her Martial Soul, and two golden rays of light enveloped Oscar and Ma Hongjun respectively.
Oscar ate a Flying Sausage, spread his Light Wings, and flew into the air.
Ma Hongjun released Phoenix Holy Light Strike, and five golden Light Feathers condensed behind him.
Fu Wen released his Martial Soul, the Divine Crocodile Phantom emerged behind him, and two deep yellow soul rings rose from beneath his feet.
"Go!"
Fu Wen was the first to charge out.
His speed was fast, but Zhao Wuji's speed was faster.
The dodging ability of a seven-ring Soul Saint was not something a two-ring Soul Master could compare to.
Fu Wen's fist brushed past Zhao Wuji's clothes, failing to land a hit.
But this was not a one-man battle.
Ma Hongjun's Light Feathers followed closely behind, shooting toward Zhao Wuji from the side.
Zhao Wuji dodged sideways, but Oscar dove down from the sky, slamming a fist toward Zhao Wuji's shoulder.
Zhao Wuji raised his hand to block, but Oscar's speed was too fast, causing his body to sway slightly.
"It's effective!" Oscar shouted excitedly.
"Keep going!" Fu Wen charged up again.
This time he didn't use his fists, but instead turned and delivered a tail whip.
The tail of the Divine Crocodile Phantom swept out horizontally, heading straight for Zhao Wuji's waist.
Flow-Severing!
Zhao Wuji felt a strange force surge into his body, and the flow of his Soul Power was forcibly interrupted for a split second.
Although it was only for a split second, it was enough.
Ma Hongjun's Light Feathers seized this opening, and all five feathers struck Zhao Wuji's chest.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
With five muffled thuds, Zhao Wuji took a step back.
"He took a step back!" Ma Hongjun jumped up in excitement.
"Two more steps to go!" Ning Rongrong shouted, buffing Oscar and Ma Hongjun once again.
Fu Wen did not give Zhao Wuji a chance to catch his breath.
He charged forward again, this time unleashing the Primordial Bite.
The Divine Crocodile Phantom opened its massive jaws, snapping viciously toward Zhao Wuji's arm.
Zhao Wuji dared not take the hit head-on and dodged to the side, but Fu Wen's assault forced him to retreat.
The second step.
"One more step to go!" Ning Rongrong's voice trembled slightly.
Oscar dove down from the sky, Ma Hongjun attacked from the front, and Fu Wen blocked from the flank.
Three people, three directions, attacking simultaneously.
The corners of Zhao Wuji's mouth curled upward.
"Not bad."
He threw a punch, the Soul Power of a seven-ring Soul Saint erupting to knock all three children back at once.
But in the instant he threw that punch, his foot slid back a small step.
The third step.
The incense stick burned out.
Flender called a halt.
"Teacher Zhao, you retreated three steps!" Ning Rongrong was the first to react.
Zhao Wuji looked down at his position, then back at the three children, and smiled.
"You win."
"Yeah!"
Ning Rongrong and Ma Hongjun hugged each other and jumped for joy.
Oscar landed back on the ground, panting heavily, but his face was full of smiles.
Fu Wen stood there, his expression calm, though a hint of a smile lingered in his eyes.
Zhao Wuji walked over to Flender and lowered his voice: "These four children will be extraordinary in the future."
Flender pushed up his glasses and said nothing, but the curve of his lips betrayed his mood.
Watching the four children's excitement, Zhao Wuji couldn't help but shake his head.
"Alright, alright, don't get too happy too soon. You only managed to force me back three steps because I only used thirty percent of my strength. When you can force me back ten steps, that will be real skill."
Ning Rongrong pouted: "Teacher Zhao, can't you just praise us for once?"
"Praise you? You still have a long way to go." Despite his words, Zhao Wuji couldn't hide the amusement in his eyes.
Flender walked over and clapped his hands: "Training ends here for today. Everyone go back and rest."
"Dean, I want to practice a little longer," Ning Rongrong suddenly spoke up.
Flender glanced at her: "Not tired?"
"I am."
Ning Rongrong wiped the sweat from her forehead: "But I still want to practice flying. When I was buffing Oscar in the air today, I realized my control over the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda isn't steady enough. When my Light Wings vibrate, the buffing light flickers."
Flender was stunned for a moment, then nodded: "Go ahead, just don't practice too late."
Ning Rongrong turned and ran to the center of the training ground, ate the Flying Sausage Oscar gave her, spread her blue Light Wings, and slowly rose into the air.
She didn't fly high, hovering just ten feet off the ground, releasing the buffing light of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda over and over again.
Fu Wen stood at the edge of the field, watching Ning Rongrong practice in the air without saying a word.
"Brother Wen, why do you think Rongrong is pushing herself so hard?" Ma Hongjun leaned over and asked in a low voice.
"Because she wants to become stronger," Fu Wen said indifferently.
"I want to be stronger too, but I don't push myself like she does."
"That is why you are not as strong as her."
Ma Hongjun's mouth twitched, and he decided not to speak anymore.
Oscar walked over and handed him a Big Sausage: "Eat up, it'll help you recover."
Ma Hongjun took the sausage, took a bite, and mumbled vaguely: "Brother Oscar, do you think we can keep coordinating better and better like we did today?"
"We can," Oscar nodded. "As long as the four of us are of one mind, there is no enemy we cannot defeat."
Ma Hongjun thought for a moment and nodded firmly.
Above the training ground, Ning Rongrong was still practicing.
Her silhouette was stretched long by the setting sun, the blue Light Wings and the golden buffing light intertwined like a butterfly undergoing metamorphosis.
Flender stood in the distance watching, the corners of his mouth slightly raised.
This girl was more resilient than he had imagined.
Sending her here had been the right choice for Ning Fengzhi.
"What are you looking at, Dean?" Zhao Wuji walked over.
"Looking at the future." Flender pushed up his glasses.
Zhao Wuji followed his gaze and saw Ning Rongrong flying, Fu Wen standing, and Oscar and Ma Hongjun eating sausages.
Four children, four personalities, four Martial Souls, yet standing together, they were inexplicably harmonious.
"The future is indeed worth looking forward to." Zhao Wuji smiled.
