Suotuo City's Great Soul Arena was the liveliest place in the entire city.
There were few people during the day, but at night it was packed to the brim.
A massive circular building stood in the center of the city, its outer walls built from blue stone. It was roughly sixty meters tall and covered an enormous area.
Two stone-carved soul beasts stood at the entrance, baring their fangs and claws with an imposing presence.
Flender stood at the entrance with the four children. He looked up at the enormous sign and adjusted his glasses.
"The Great Soul Arena is where Soul Masters earn money, gain experience, and make a name for themselves. Starting today, you'll be competing here. You'll participate in both one-on-one and two-on-two matches."
"Old man, why do we have to wear masks?"
Oscar asked.
"Stupid question."
Flender slapped the back of his head.
"Everyone in the Great Soul Arena wears a mask so they can better conceal their true identity."
Oscar rubbed the back of his head and did not dare ask anything else.
The group entered the Great Soul Arena, and the inside was even more spectacular than the outside.
A massive circular fighting stage stood at the center, surrounded by tier upon tier of spectator stands that could hold over ten thousand people.
It was daytime, and there were no matches underway. The stands were empty, with only a few staff members cleaning the place.
Flender led them to the registration counter.
A young woman in uniform sat behind the counter without even raising her head.
"Registration?"
"Yes, four people."
Flender placed forty Gold Soul Coins on the counter.
"Sign them up for both one-on-one and two-on-two matches."
The young woman looked up at Flender, then at the four children behind him, somewhat surprised.
