"Ugh, that hurts..."

After Uchiha Matsuzaki watched the two men leave, his eyes suddenly began to ache. Blood trickled from the corners of his eyes, and his Sharingan deactivated.

"I'm bleeding. Looks like I'm still not used to it! I'd better not use it for a while."

Uchiha Matsuzaki wiped his eyes with his hand and looked at the blood on it as he spoke.

The girl, who had just been worried about her own safety, was completely stunned by what she'd seen.

She never would have imagined that a boy about her age could be so strong, especially when he looked so thin and frail.

Although she'd been rescued, her legs were still too weak to stand.

Uchiha Matsuzaki looked up at the girl. He paid no attention to the blood on his face and walked straight over to her.

Up close, the girl was exceptionally beautiful, almost like a fairy.

Out of politeness, Uchiha Matsuzaki held out his hand and asked, "Miss, are you all right?"

The girl only came back to her senses after hearing him speak. She'd been staring at Uchiha Matsuzaki the whole time, and had noticed that he was quite handsome.

"I-I'm fine!" the girl said, lowering her head as her face turned faintly red.

Then she slowly reached out and placed her hand in Uchiha Matsuzaki's.

The moment they touched, the girl's face grew even redder.

Seeing this, Uchiha Matsuzaki's lips curled up slightly as he pulled her to her feet.

"What happened to the blood on your face?" the girl asked with concern, looking up at him once she was standing.

"It's nothing. This is normal, so don't worry!"

Uchiha Matsuzaki said with a smile.

"Where did those two go? If you hadn't been there today, I don't know what would have happened to me!" the girl said softly, glancing toward the end of the street, her voice catching a little.

"I used genjutsu on them. They're going to turn themselves in at the police station. There, there. Don't worry, it's all over!" Uchiha Matsuzaki quickly reassured her.

With that, Uchiha Matsuzaki helped the girl to the end of the street.

"By the way, miss, I don't know your name," Uchiha Matsuzaki said with a smile.

The girl's face turned faintly red, and then she said softly, "My name is Che—"

Before she could finish, a woman came walking over from the distance and shouted, interrupting her.

"Xiaoxue, what are you doing here? Your sister's been looking for you since early this morning. Who are you? Did you bully my Xiaoxue?"

"Xiaoxue, tell me if he bullied you. If he did, I'll beat him to a pulp!"

Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at the woman and cursed inwardly, Damn it, I was just one second away from finding out her name! Couldn't you have arrived one second later?

"Sister Lan, he's not a bad person. I ran into two drunk men just now and almost got into trouble, but he showed up in time and saved me!" Seeing that things were going badly, the girl quickly explained what had happened.

Lan gave Uchiha Matsuzaki a once-over, then said scornfully, "With that little frame? If Xiaoxue hadn't told me, I wouldn't have believed it. Anyway, thank you!"

"All right, since everything's fine, let's go home. You still have a cold, so you can't go wandering around! If it gets worse, your parents and your sister will worry."

Uchiha Matsuzaki looked at the woman called Lan, fuming.

The girl nodded, then followed Lan away. Still, she was reluctant to leave.

After taking a few steps, she turned and smiled at Uchiha Matsuzaki. "My name is Zixue. It's nice to meet you! I hope we'll see each other again."

When Uchiha Matsuzaki saw her smile and learned her name, his heart melted, and all his anger vanished.

"Zixue, Chestnut Snow. We'll definitely have a chance to meet again!"
