The Armored Shell Giant Lizard roared in fury and reared up. It grabbed the Swamp Poison Centipede's legs with its front claws and pulled hard in opposite directions.

Two of the centipede's legs tore off. Bodily fluids gushed from the stumps like water from a fountain.
"My god, have those two huge beasts gone completely berserk?" Lingling couldn't help saying as she watched from afar.
"Get out of the way!"
Lan Yu hurriedly grabbed Lingling by the back of her collar and dodged to the side in a flash.
The Armored Shell Giant Lizard and the Swamp Poison Centipede, locked in a writhing tangle, came crashing into the cliff beside them.

The two colossal beasts slammed into the cliff with a deafening bang. Rocks tumbled down and fragments flew everywhere.
Lan Yu took Lingling and reached a spot two kilometers away as quickly as he could.
"These damn beasts really have eyes in their heads." Lan Yu put Lingling down. She looked rather dazed from being jostled around, and he couldn't help grumbling.
It took Lingling a while to recover. She looked up at Lan Yu and said irritably, "Next time you run, watch what you're doing. I'm just a little girl who hasn't even awakened her magic!"
"Next time, maybe."

A long while later, the fight between the two beasts was still going on.
After all, unlike in the original story, they hadn't been badly injured by the demonized Mo Fan.
But the Armored Shell Giant Lizard had clearly been poisoned. Its limbs were moving stiffly.
"Time for me to kick them while they're down!"

The Swamp Poison Centipede had an innate affinity for darkness, making it most vulnerable to Light Element attacks. When the light arrows struck it, they melted through its sturdy shell as easily as a red-hot iron touching wax.
The Armored Shell Giant Lizard had a shell on its back, but the rest of its body was exposed. Its skin was tough, but even its defenses couldn't withstand the rain of light under the effects of the Swamp Poison Centipede's venom.
