Then they entered the alley together.
Sure enough, they saw a small room containing an ATM at the end of the alley.

A woman behind them spoke.

Then Huang Lian walked over with Ye Tianyi.
"Everyone, who is that handsome young master beside Her Majesty Empress? He seems quite familiar with our Empress."
"Yeah, yeah. And they can even walk ahead together, yet Her Majesty Empress didn't say anything. She seems to regard it as perfectly normal. He must either be on equal footing with our Empress or have an extremely close relationship with her, right?"
"You don't know? He's Ye Tianyi. He extended Her Majesty Empress's mother's life before."
"So he's Ye Tianyi. Just like the rumors said, he's so handsome!"

It was unclear whether they had been discovered, but it felt like they probably already had been.

The ATM was broken.
"The investigation said this is an elevator. There should be some kind of mechanism."
Ye Tianyi then pointed at the camera above.
"The camera works. I don't see any mechanism. I suspect it checks the camera feed; perhaps the elevator activates after an iris or facial-recognition match."
Huang Lian glanced at it as well.
"Mm."
That made sense.
They knew they had been discovered, but if they could get in and catch just a few people, they should be able to obtain some information. Ordinary members clearly could not enter or leave this place at will, nor would they know
