Mei Terumi promptly raised her uninjured arm.
"Hey, handsome... there's no need to wipe us all out, is there?"
Mei was genuinely afraid of Kakashi.
He was ruthless and hardly said a word... she was worried he might kill her without warning.
Kakashi frowned at that.
Uncle Ye Ning had only told him not to let the other villages' contestants pass. He hadn't said to keep every contestant in the Forest of Death... Besides, if they killed all the contestants, the other villages would surely be displeased. They might even join forces to condemn Konoha.
Kakashi walked off to the side, putting some distance between himself and Mei. He leaned against a tree with his arms folded over his sword.
He said nothing, putting on the air of a cool, aloof expert.
Mei studied Kakashi curiously. Although half his face was hidden beneath his mask, it was easy to see from his exposed eyes and brows that he was quite handsome.
A guy around her age, with impressive strength, astonishing talent, good looks, and a calm personality... It was hard not to feel a little tempted!
It would've been even better if he weren't so ruthless.
Mei pursed her lips and called out:
"Hey!"
Kakashi glanced sideways at her, looking puzzled.
"Say, do you have any bandages in your ninja tool pouch? Could you help me stop the bleeding?"
"I can't."
Kakashi glanced at Mei's bleeding shoulder and hesitated. In the end, he took out a bandage and tossed it to her.
Rin was the team's medic, but to be safe, Kakashi had packed an extra set of supplies in his own pouch as team leader.
When Kakashi didn't take the bait, Mei pouted and had to bandage herself. Every now and then, she let out a suggestive little sound.
